The Belvedere necklace is an extraordinaryMaltese Cross from theVictorian era. Thecross centers a flat old mine cut diamond with 16 old mine cuts radiating out from that and an additional 4 on each end. Five diamonds create the drop from the chain. An additional 148 stones create the Maltese cross shape. The total carat weight for the necklace is approximately 6.50 carats. The stones are set in a silver-topped 18kt yellow gold setting with an 18kt yellow gold chain (the chain is new).
We love everything about this pendant. The bold shape is very Victorian and every detail was perfectly executed! The diamonds are unique old cut shapes that really add character to this antique piece. Although this piece is well over 100 years old, we find it to be very fashion-forward.
