An incredible pair of diamond earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! These beautiful earrings are made of 18kt yellow gold and have lovely flower shaped cluster design of old Mine Cut diamonds. Each earring features a Cushion Mine Cut diamond set in the center, surrounded by a frame of 10 sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds. The clusters hang from clasped earrings wires and a belcher set diamond rests at the top. One of the center stones weighs 1.07ct, with L color and SI1 clarity. The other center stone weighs 1.10ct with L color and VS2 clarity. The remaining diamonds total approximately 1.23ctw combined, with I-L range color and VS2-SI range clarity. The earrings have open backs and in total, the 24 diamond stones have an approximate weight of 3.40ctw. Accompanying the earrings is an appraisal issued by an independent and accredited GIA certified Graduate Gemologist in June 2014, with a stated retail replacement value of $20,000.00. These glittering, feminine earrings are absolutely gorgeous in person, and would look wonderful for day or night wear!
Measurements: The earrings hang 1" long, are 1/2" at the widest point and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings are excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting or to the diamond stones, all of which are intact.
